"a portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2014."

Jack- that time we went to a baseball game and never got to see it because it got rained out. It's ok though, Jack left with one of those finger things, popcorn, and brownie ice cream.

#MDW

We had a crazy busy last 3 days. It flew by and now, here I am, On a Tuesday, Back at work....woohoo....

Here's our crazy run down of it all:

Saturday I worked, TJ had a race. He placed well and is getting ready for his next one this coming weekend. Sunday I had church, met up with a girlfriend, met family at lunch for my mother-in-law's birthday, and went back to my brother and sister-in-law's for drinks and corn hole. Monday we had lunch at my mom's and went straight to my brother and sister-in-law's after that for another cookout/ corn hole/drinking night. We didn't get home until late. Jack was exhausted, TJ is probably hungover at work today, and Jack was crying this morning because he is too tired to get dressed. All in all it was a fab weekend and a very busy one, too!

'Mercia!

A picture an hour

I've seen many bloggers try this out, but I had to wait until my day off, because you would literally be getting a picture of my computer screen at work every hour. Really just pictures of me sometimes working or pictures from usmagazine.com. I just NEED to know every minute of Kimye's wedding weekend. Sike! So here it goes:

7:00 a.m.  Really?! On my day off? Jack is in my face saying he and Harry, our cat, are hungry.

8:00 a.m. Morning cartoons. No underpants. Me contemplating cleaning. Realized TJ did not do a great grocery run last week so off to the grocery store we will go!

9:00 a.m. This is my go to place to put my make up on. Jack's room. On days I have to work, I put my make up on here and talk to Jack before I get him up for school. TJ if you're reading this, make me a vanity :)

10:00 a.m. We debated on the tiny grocery cart or the giant car cart for over 5 minutes. It was awesome (sarcasm).

11:00 a.m. Get back, unload a million bags, throw old food out, arrange new food and organize. All while Jack has to try a sample of everything we just bought! But then, coffee. Mmmmmm!

12:00 p.m. Think about cleaning again. Avoid it by going to target for new pillows. FAIL! Jack gets a new toy.

1:00 p.m. Think about cleaning AGAIN! Jack brings out all of his toys. I decide I need a break! Cleaning avoided another hour!

2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A quick power nap and then.... Ugh.... Cleaning. Plus hail?! What the? It's sunny and hailing!!!!

6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Bath time/ dinner time. The pickiest of eaters and the lover of long baths.

7:30 p.m. THIS. All day every day! How do we complain we don't have any clothes, yet I was loads every DAY?!

Oh. And puzzles.

8:00 p.m. Bedtime for Jack, but where is he? My bed! We will fight back and forth until 9 trying to get him asleep and in his own bed. Oh well. Hopefully after he sleeps I can catch up on my shows and maybe eat something? In peace. :) happy Thursday y'all!

Not an eventful day, but a busy day. Not pictured: Jack digging frogs out of his underpants he left in for who knows how long. Me cleaning cat poop of the floor. A temper tantrum about food and cleaning up. Scrubbing toilets and baseboards. Rearranging furniture all day, and lots and lots of games and fun!

"A portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2014."

Jack- Bath time is never dull with these two guys!

Being a tourist in our own city

Today we explored Hollywood cemetery in our city. It is right by the James river and has famous presidents buried there from the late 1800's and early 1900's. TJ and I have never been and we have lived in Richmond forever! It was fun to explore and to see old pieces of history. Jack was not thrilled and wanted to leave after a little while, but I would totally go back!

Jack- this is my wiggly, talkative boy who had to be taken out of church before the sermon. He is less than thrilled. Ditto for me too.

Mama's Day!

Happy Mama's day to all those out there and to the ones still waiting to become mothers, mothers who have lost babies, mothers missing their babies, and everyone in between. Motherhood is an amazing gift and I am so fortunate to have my own little boy. Thank you Jack for choosing me as your mother and thank you TJ for giving me the gift to be a mother.

This weekend was wonderful. My mom and I go get chai lattes every year to celebrate. We rode down to our favorite spot, Crossroads. My brother and husband tagged along this year so we rode in my brothers Jeep with the top down! So fun! TJ surprised me with a necklace. It has a J on it for Jack and a little heart. so perfect! We drank, ate, loved, shared, and reminisced. It was a great weekend!

This past weekend.

Our weekend was totes the bomb.com. I really shouldn't still be saying that, but I am! Our past couple weekends we have been on the go running errands and doing projects. Speaking of projects. I hate them. I hate buying furniture and there are 15 steps with 30 screws. I tried to assemble a cute TV stand we bought by myself, but failed miserably. TJ came home and together we knocked it out!

Boom! Isn't it cute?!

On Sunday we went to church, grocery shopped, picked up our cat Harry, went to home goods, made blood marys, blew bubbles, played outside, and of course, watched Real Housewives of ATL!
