This weekend.

This past weekend was so eventful I can't even believe its already Monday! Today the high is in the 60's (which is pretty much 80 in my book these days) so that's a win! Saturday morning my husband ran the monument 10k and, as always, killed it! He is so my inspiration! That night we had my cousins wedding and Sunday was my baby's 4th birthday party. We were crazy busy, sick, and had downpours on Sunday, but it was an amazing weekend. Jack is the cutest minion I have ever seen!

Oil pulling!!!

Sounds disgusting, right?! It's actually the total opposite!

The ritual is simple: Just fill your mouth with coconut or sesame oil and swish it through your teeth and gums for five to 10 minutes each day. This odd habit is supposed to “pull” toxins out of your body and trap them in the oily solution, which you spit into the toilet or the trash when finished.

The benefits are supposed to prevent tooth decay, mouth odor, bleeding gums, and release toxins. It is best to do this right when you wake up, because that is when you have the most toxins in your mouth. I grab a teaspoon full in the morning, swish it in my mouth while I am in the shower, and spit it out when I get out. I immediately brush my teeth afterwards. It has crazy awesome results even after just one week. TRY IT! I put my coconut oil in a mason jar with a few drops of peppermint essential oil just to have that "mouthwash" taste. Because really. It's oil. In your mouth. Kind of a weird texture/feeling.

St. Patrick's Day

Lesson learned this weekend: I am no longer 21. I am recovering from a 3 day hangover. I am too old for this madness! Buttttt I had a blast!

Baby sugar scrub

I made a sugar scrub today that is perfect for little feet and hands. A BABY SUGAR SCRUB. Babies lose moisture 2x faster than we do, so I came up with the perfect sugar scrub recipe for babies OR for adults (if you love that baby soft skin!)

2.5 cups sugar
.25 cup of baby oil
.25 cup of baby wash(any kind)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. I added half a drop of red food coloring to make mine pink. Use at bath time to help lock in moisture, remove dead skin cells, and keep skin silky smooth and hydrated.

Here it is: Jack LOVES it!

Short and sweet.

Reflect on this for a couple minutes. Does the apply to you? How can you change it? Xoxo.
