Jack- always eating. Not always as a cow though. 

70 degrees.

This winter has been rough, but on Sunday we had a break. The high was 70 degrees and my mood instantly changed. Forget all the housework, I was going to stay outside all day. I met up with my good friends for lunch. It is so great to catch up, I long to do it more often. After lunch, Jack and I went to the playground in the neighborhood where I grew up. Tj happened to be playing basketball around the corner in the same neighborhood so we watched him play a game or 2. It's so crazy to be there because that is where Tj and I hung out when we were babies. 17 and 18 year olds. I used to watch Tj play basketball here 9 years ago and now I have Jack playing on the court with him. Such a surreal moment for me. We have been through so much together and at the end of the day he is who I rush home from work to. This 70 degree day is just what our family needed.

A day with my main squeeze

I live for Thursday's. I am so unbelievably lucky to have a job where one of my days off is during the week. That is a mommy and Jack day. We can catch up with each other, sleep in, have lazy mornings, go to the museum, ride the train at short pump, or visit the bookstore. Today we visited the bookstore. We read, sip coffee, and play with the toy trains. It's relaxing and enjoyable. A trip to chick-fil-a afterwords is not too shabby either. 

This Week

This week we have had a snow storm, followed by ice, followed by more snow. We have had missed days from work and colds.We have eaten out more than needed, built a snowman, spent a night drinking with friends, and have devoted a lot more time together than we normally would during the week. oh, and Valentine's day. What a crazy week. I am OVER the snow and ready for spring more than ever. I want to spend less time inside. I feel as though I'm a bit stir crazy right now. I have also watched Despicable Me 1 AND 2 more times than I need to acknowledge out loud. Mom life. Here's my recap:

A blur.

Weekends are seriously a blur. Two days to cram in a million fun things/ a thousand errands and chores? Not cool. Currently I am eating creamy spinach dip and drinking diet dr. pepper. (Hey, I'm trying to stick to my diet. These are healthy, no?) Jack is actually sitting ON the table feeding me chips and dip. I'm just over here living the dream. Here is our weekend through pictures:

1. Lunch date with TJ. Two spoons, one bowl. See what I did there?

2. Sleeping beauties. 

3. Made my homemade Fresh Lemon and Honey Grapefruit Sugar Scrub for myself while making other orders. 

4. He wants to be just like his dad.

6. Preparing some orders for San Diego!
